OCD and Anxiety

I’d never tried hypnotherapy before, but I’m so glad I did. It’s already made such a difference with my OCD. Joelle is great — she explains everything really clearly and is very easy to talk to. I can’t recommend Joelle highly enough!

Depression

I’ve suffered regularly with bouts of depression due to lack of any family support or feeling any deep connection with anyone. Although i can be quite social when well with dancing, tennis and walking – naturally with bouts of depression i gradually stop doing these activities. I’ve always looked to seek help from professionals whenever suffering a bout. I have been in an episode of depression for the last 7 months and came across joelle when looking for some help. I began to make progress quite quickly – and working with joelle helped me to start to look at reconnecting with people, making plans to get back into social activities that bring me joy and doing every day things around the house. Prior to this I would spend the weekend in my PJs not having washed just watching Netflix.
Joelle has helped me get my mind and thoughts in a more positive space.

Stress

Joelle has helped me gain some invaluable strategies to help manage stress and build healthy routines. I would unreservedly recommend her services. I always look forward to our sessions, and I always leave feeling more relaxed and positive.

Addiction

I am having a great experience with Joelle Le Van. The sessions are relaxing, insightful, and are genuinely helping me address my unhealthy habits. I am feeling supported and understood throughout the process. Also receiving some great techniques to help at home with any issues I am facing. Insomnia

I started having solution based hypnotherapy with Joelle for severe Insomnia. I have suffered with this now for 20 years. After having cervical spine surgery in November 24 which was extremely traumatic and did not go to plan, it left me with a number of traumatic experiences which exasperated my insomnia. I was going for 5 nights (literally) with 0 sleep. I would then crash for 2 days. I was in an extremely bad way when I found Joelle. I immediately felt at ease, not judged in anyway for bad negative habits I had started to pick up due to being so sleep deprived. Medical professionals had exasperated every tablet and Avenue to try to help me sleep and nothing had worked. After my 1st session with Joelle, I followed everything she advised me to do, I fully took on board all of her vast knowledge she had of the way our brain processes things and how we need that for our bodies to relax. That first session had me sleeping. I have been sleeping ever since I have been having therapy sessions with Joelle. She has really helped me in so many ways. I am now able to go out more, be more proactive in family days together and my overall mental health has significantly improved. What a number of medical professionals could not help me with over a number of years, Joelle was able to help me with after the first session. I cannot thank you enough. I am continuing to work with Joelle to help me in many other areas of my life which I am seeing so many big positive changes. I am so grateful.

OCD and Anxiety

I started working with Joelle around two months ago and the change I feel in myself and in my mind is incredible. She creates such a supportive and understanding space and I already notice a real difference.

Spider Phobia

After just one rewind session with Joelle I was able to catch 2 spiders without anyone else having to step in to save me! Can already feel my fear is more manageable and reduced from where it was.

Sugar Cravings and Stress

Joelle is a fantastic therapist – I first approached her to help me tackle my habitual evening sugar addiction a few months back. Two session in, my cravings had virtually disappeared – the shift in my thinking and behaviour was amazing!

I still see her regularly, as her holistic approach helps me look at the root of things (rather than just addressing the symptoms). On the whole, I have practical tools and techniques to help me navigate stress, with a particular focus on positive solutions.

I always learn something new every session and Joelle has a fabulous style and approach and found her easy to click with right away. If you’re considering working with her I would say absolutely go for it (if you’re serious about making positive changes in your life!). Thanks Joelle

Driving Anxiety

Joelle is incredibly supportive and a true expert in her field. I sought her help after a driving incident that left me unable to use motorways. She was flexible and worked with me in a short space of time to address the issue. I now feel so much more confident, and the positive impact has extended into other areas of my life too.

school related anxiety

Our primary aged son has been seeing Joelle to help with his anxiety / stress around school and homework. He really loves seeing her and is always uplifted and feels very positive after each session. It’s still early into the process, but he is clearly more confident and willing to talk about school and his worries with us than before.
